Rental Terms
What you need to rent a car from DLR Automobile. Every rental is governed by the signed rental agreement.

Minimum age
You must be 25 or older. We don’t rent to anyone under 25.
Driver’s licence
A valid driver’s licence, held for at least 2 years. We may also ask for a satisfactory driving record.
Photo ID
Government-issued photo ID.
Security deposit
A security deposit is required at pickup: $2,500 or $5,000 depending on the model. The amount is shown on the vehicle page, or confirmed before you book. You get it back when the car is returned, if the inspection is satisfactory.
Mileage
Each rental month includes 2,500 km. Beyond that, each extra kilometre is billed $1.00, before GST and QST. For a shorter rental, the included mileage and the cost of each extra kilometre are confirmed before you book.
Prices and taxes
Displayed prices are "from" prices, by the month, the week and the day, before GST and QST. The security deposit is extra. The rate is confirmed before you book.
Booking and payment
You send an availability request from the site. Nothing is charged, because no payment goes through the site. We confirm availability, then check that you’re eligible.
Insurance
Insurance terms are set out when you book.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 48 hours before the rental starts and there is no charge. Inside 48 hours, a cancellation may cost the equivalent of one day of rental.
During the rental
You are responsible for the car during the rental, as set out in the signed rental agreement. Fines and tickets issued during that period are your responsibility.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the Québec Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of Québec, including with respect to bodily injury.
